I cannot recommend The Restoration & Refurbishment Company highly enough. Jamie and team are the most reliable and helpful people I have worked with, across what has been a long, sometimes very stressful refurbishment of a very tricky listed building.
Jamie is always on the other end of the phone if I have any questions, and never ceases to amaze me with his patience and advice. He has been a rock. Originally had only commissioned him to carry out plastering work, but will now be bringing them to work across several elements of the project. I trust them implicitly. If I could score them all 11s, I would.

Jamie and his team have been working on our three-storey property for a while now, as we are renovating the whole house in stages.
Jamie was strongly recommended to us by a neighbour who had some structural work done that was the same as we needed, but ours was on a larger scale. We had the tricky job of installing steel and/or fletch beams above and below each window – this was because our new triple-glazed windows were too heavy for our existing window frames. The window company did not advise of this until mid-installation. Jamie knew straight away what was needed and, with the help of our structural engineer, put matters right. The standard of work was excellent and now seems a seamless part of the house. We took the opportunity to improve insulation below each window, to reclad the outside of the house, and replace fascias and soffits where needed.
All these jobs were carried out brilliantly by Jamie’s carpentry and plastering team. Suitably impressed, we asked Jamie to carry out a complete refit of our main bathroom. We are very pleased with this (and it brings more joy than having some flitch beams!). The bathroom does look fabulous. Tiling is a big component of our bathroom, and his tiler did a great job.
Everything was plumbed in well, with access panels made for potential faults in the future. A bathroom cabinet was put up and very well decorated at the end. Jamie then rebuilt our ensuite downstairs. This involved a complete refit and extending out to create a more generous room. Like the main bathroom, this now looks amazing. A different tiler
was used, but equally impressive. The adjoining bedroom had an old wardrobe ripped out, some replastering, and, along with the en-suite, all redecorated to the highest of standards. The decorator we had was superb – with a great eye for detail.
All the works carried out required the usual electrical works, and everything is working well. Jamie is currently finishing off our Hallway, which has been very well tiled, re-skirted, plastered, with some bespoke wood panelling to be added.
Jamie’s attention to detail on all works is second to none – for example, tiling, spotlight, tap, and sink positioning. Where there have been snagging issues, he is always willing to put this right and at his expense when appropriate.
Jamie has always listened well to us and given up good amounts of time when planning things through. He advises well when some of the ideas may not work or be best for the project(s), e.g. ceiling heights, choice of paint. He runs his team well and checks in regularly on the work being carried out. All the people we have met from his team have been 100% trustworthy, and we have often let them to their own devices during the day and when away on holiday.
Yeah, Jamie, is highly recommended! And we are sure to use him again.

Jamie and his team were excellent throughout the whole renovation, from quote to completion. Jamie is upfront and realistic with all costs and timeframes, and also reasonably priced. All of the team members are polite, knowledgeable, and respectful, and the quality of the finish is excellent.
The job itself consisted of stripping out an old kitchen, demolishing and moving an existing wall and installing and fitting new flooring and kitchenette. I’d recommend Jamie and his team to anyone and will be getting him back for any work in the future at the studios.

Jamie and his team worked on our kitchen refurbishment, renovation work in our dining room and living room, and some external re-rendering work. The team were very considerate of us, still living at the property during the works, and ensured it was as clean and tidy as possible. The team were on time and very polite.
We had a new Wren kitchen installed, with new electrics, along with new tiling and painting as well. All done to a high standard.
We had some reconfiguration of our existing living room and dining room to combine them into one room. The wall between the rooms was demolished and an opening created. He advised us through the planning application process as some major steel works needed to be installed. His team also installed herringbone-patterned flooring, which was done in good time and to a high standard. We were extremely happy with the result, and the flow of our house works perfectly for our family now. It really has made our space feel bigger and brighter.
We required the rerendering of our outside wall, as well as the installation of a new bathroom window. All done in a great time and a great standard.
Jamie was brilliant at advising us through the construction phasing and keeping in touch with us throughout the entire process. He gave his experienced opinion, which helped enhance our entire ground floor even better than what we imagined.
The aftercare provided by Jamie and his team is also great. He gave great advice and recommendations for the finishing touches of the work we were taking on ourselves.
I would definitely be in touch with him and his team again for any major works to our property.

Croydon - Home Renovation and Kitchen Refurbishment
I acquired a 2-bed semi-detached house a few months ago, knowing it would require some renovation. A friend of mine recommended Jamie and his team, as he had done work on his flat.
Jamie was extremely helpful in viewing the house with me in advance, so I had an idea of the works/costs involved.
After purchase, we scheduled a future date for work to start, and I was amazed that Jamie and his team stuck to the exact date!
The team quickly got to work, removing all the old shot plaster back to the bare bricks, re-plastering the entire house (walls and ceilings), and redoing all electrics to a high modern standard. As always, hidden problems surfaced – the chimney breasts were collapsing – but Jamie put my mind at rest and got someone to sort the problem (adding helia bars for added support). They also knocked through the wall between my dining room and kitchen (which was more involved than initially thought due to a 3rd-party structural engineer’s recommendations), but again, Jamie and his team just readjusted to do the work required to a high standard, all approved by building control. The space was opened up beautifully.
Jamie was very patient with my indecisiveness over every detail and helped me reach decisions. I hadn’t planned to do the kitchen and flooring, but after seeing how good the rest of the house looked, I decided to find the budget to do that too, and I’m so glad I did, as the whole space looks amazing.
Jamie did not cut any corners, and even when something could have been done quicker and easier, Jamie always took the route that would give a better finish, even when I was not that bothered, which I am grateful for. He communicated well throughout with photo updates, too.
I am so pleased with my fully renovated house, and my friends and family have commented on the good work! I would highly recommend Jamie and his team. They have made what could have been extremely stressful so much easier.

Jamie and the team have done a lot of work for us in Crystal Palace.
Firstly, he plastered the entire house (3 Stories) after it had new electrics and plasterboarding had been done. He then returned to change the rear facade of our house. This involved installing a flitch beam, installing new insulated stud walls, plastering and making good around windows. He replaced stud walls and installed soundproofing.
He also installed a new bathroom and kitchen. Including first and 2nd fix in the bathroom, tiling, installation of units, worktops, sanitary wear, towel radiators, you name it. They did it. Both look fantastic, and we have had no issues with anything in 2 years since installation.
Jamie’s team also brought in a mastic company to do all sealants, and these still look amazing.
We are planning on using Jamie and team to do our garage conversion and front facade. I highly recommend a high-quality finished product.
